About Us
Our Story
LowCountry Community Church began as The Church at Hilton Head in August 1994 with forty-one people who sought to make a positive impact for Jesus Christ on Hilton Head Island. The church quickly outgrew our meeting place in the local library and moved on to Hilton Head Middle School.
In June 1999. Jeff Cranston became pastor. Under Jeff's leadership, the church saw the potential for reaching people in the growing Bluffton area as well as the Island. So our name changed to LowCountry Community Church and began meeting at McCracken Middle School. Men. women, students, and kids around the area continued to find a home at LCC, as we worked to serve them and provide an opportunity for them to authentically worship God and grow in their relationship with Him in a comfortable and culturally-relevant environment.
September 2006 saw the opening of a permanent home in Bluffton across the street from the new Bluffton High School. This new facility has provided for an ever greater opportunity to meet men and women at their point of need and introduce them to a loving God who has a purpose and a plan for their lives.
LowCountry Community Church desires to have an ever-increasing influence in the lowcountry region by serving the community and creating a network of regional campuses or church plants that share the resources and vision of the church while creating more opportunities for people to meet together close to home in this expanding region. In September 2007, LCC launched the first of these campuses on Hilton Head Island.
