BELIEFS

No matter where you’re from, LowCountry Community Church is a place where your entire family can find a community to call home. LCC is more than a nondenominational church along the coast of South Carolina—it is a community where you can connect to others through the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.

MISSION & VISION

The mission of LCC is to change lives through the message of Jesus Christ. This is accomplished through LCC's five purposes: connect with people, grow followers of Jesus, serve God and others, reach people with the message of Jesus, and worship God.

The vision of LCC is to see thousands of people living in the Lowcountry region of South Carolina transformed by the Gospel.

FIVE PURPOSES

CONNECT: Identifying With Others in God’s Family
“Now you are no longer strangers to God and foreigners to heaven, but you are members of God’s very own family, citizens of God’s country, and you belong in God’s household with every other Christian.” – Ephesians 2:19

GROW: Growing in Spiritual Maturity and Teaching Others
“So we continue to preach Christ to each person, using all wisdom to warn and to teach everyone, in order to bring each one into God’s presence as a mature person in Christ.” – Colossians 1:28

SERVE: Serving God and Others
“Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.” – Ephesians 4:11-12

REACH: Sharing Jesus With Others
“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” – Matthew 25:40

WORSHIP: Magnify God
“O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.” – Psalm 34:3

LCC's Story

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. – Joshua 1:9

God began writing the story of LCC on Hilton Head Island in 1994. Forty-one people gathered for a Bible study that quickly turned into a rapidly growing church. In 1999, Jeff and Darlene Cranston took a fearless and courageous step in following God’s call to come and lead a small church plant deep in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Twenty-five years later, the Lord continues to use the people who call LCC home to transform their families, workplaces, and community through the message of Jesus Christ.
