Joy Is Coming Soon

Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5, NASB

When David and his men came to the city, behold, it was burned with fire, and their wives and their sons and their daughters had been taken captive. Then David and the people who were with him lifted their voices and wept until there was no strength in them to weep. 1 Samuel 30:3-4, NASB

You will make known to me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; in Your right hand there are pleasures forever. Psalm 16:11, NASB

“…was great joy in that city.” Act 8:8, CSB

“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy…” Jude 1:24, NASB

“…but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing, so that also at the revelation of His glory you may rejoice with exultation.” 1 Peter 4:13, NASB

“…they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy.” Matthew 2:10, NASB

And the ransomed of the Lord will return and come with joyful shouting to Zion, with everlasting joy upon their heads. They will find gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. Isaiah 35:10, NASB

Joy comes because Jesus comes.

Embrace the fact that Jesus understands your grief firsthand.

When Jesus saw Mary weep and noticed the tears of the Jews who came with her, he was deeply moved and visibly distressed. John 11:33, Phillips

Instead of focusing on what has changed, focus on what will never change.

Don’t limit your view of Jesus to just being your Savior; view Him also as your Healer.

Joy comes from being in God’s presence.

I keep the Lord in mind always. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad, and my spirit rejoices; my body also rests securely. Psalm 16:8-9, HCSB
