7 Tips for Packing an Operation Christmas Child Shoebox | LowCountry Community Church | Bluffton, S.C.

1. Pick up a shoebox at one of the tables in the LCC Clark Concourse.

2. Decide whether you will pack a box for a girl or a boy and which age category: 2–4, 5–9, or 10–14.

3. Select a quality “wow” toy such as a doll, soccer ball with pump, or a stuffed animal.

4. Fill with other fun toys, hygiene items and school supplies. If you are not sure of what to buy, check out Samaritan’s Purse list of suggested gifts.

Please do NOT include: Candy; toothpaste; gum; used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives, or military figures; chocolate or food; seeds; fruit rolls or other fruit snacks; drink mixes (powdered or liquid); liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; aerosol cans.

5. Most importantly, pray for the child who will receive your gift. You may also include a personal note and photo.

6. Donate $9 online and receive a label to Follow Your Box and discover the destination of your shoebox gift. This donation is critical because it covers shipping and other project costs.

7. Bring your shoebox to LCC by Sunday, November 15, 2020.
