Local Families in need
In Beaufort County, over 21,000 people are food insecure, and 1 in 5 children live in poverty. Families often run into extra expenses as school starts, so LCC is holding a food drive to help. Take a list on your way out, pick up items the next time you're at the store, and bring them back to LCC on Sunday, August 20. Everything will go directly to our Outreach Partner, Bluffton Self-Help. Bluffton Self-Help empowers people in the Lowcountry to improve their lives through education, basic needs, and community resources. The last time we held a food drive for Bluffton Self-Help, you donated 3,500 lbs of food, one of the largest single donations they have ever received!
