National Day of Prayer

The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.

With this nation more divided than ever, now is the time to come together and pray for the nation’s leaders and families at Bluffton’s Annual National Day of Prayer, May 2nd, 6:00pm, at Oscar Frazier Park. Bring your entire family and invite a friend to this.

LCC is joining with several area churches (St. Andrew By-The-Sea Bluffton, First Zion Missionary Baptist, Cornerstone, Campbell AME, and Lord of Life) to provide this free community event. Bring the whole family and invite a friend for an awesome night of praise, prayer, and free food.

You are invited to come and to be encouraged and deepened in your faith while connecting with other people in your community! Nicole Unice is an author and Bible teacher who has a passion for bringing God’s Word to life in a personal and relevant way. Her training as a counselor informs her work, with an emphasis on the importance of facing our own reality and embracing the transforming power of God’s grace.

Nicole’s invitations to speak have taken her across the world, and her books come to life with her popular video curriculum series found on Right Now Media. Her heart belongs to Hope Church, where she serves as the ministry director and the leader of Praxis, a full-time ministry residency program for young leaders.

Nicole holds degrees from the College of William and Mary and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
